Dear Fellow Firefighters,
The Gorham Fire Department is proud to announce that the 110th Annual Convention of the New Hampshire State Firemen’s Association will be held in the Town of Gorham. This will be the fifth time Gorham hosts the Convention, starting with the 86th Annual Convention in 1983. It has always been a pleasure hosting this event and I assure you that you will not be disappointed this year. The Gorham Fire Department has proudly put many hours into the planning of this Convention and has worked with great effort to make this a memorial event for all that attend.
Again this year I would like to welcome the New England States Veteran Firemen’s League, they will be holding an “Old Time” Hand tub Muster on the Gorham Common in which audience participation is required. The competitors of the Hand tub Muster will add to the atmosphere of “Fire Service Spirit” and FUN. Golf, Frisbee golf, vendors, BBQ, ballroom dance lessons, parades, banquet, and a Comedy Night are all in the plans for the weekend.
The Gorham Fire Department and Ladies Auxiliary know you will enjoy our scenic town for a weekend of fun, relaxation, and companionship. Take the time to meet with old friends and make a new friend or two while you’re at it. We will provide the appropriate atmosphere so that you can relax and enjoy the 110th New Hampshire State Firemen’s Association Annual Convention. So mark your calendar for September 7th, 8th, and 9th for a great time with your brother and sister firefighters.
